History of Huntsville Elementary School

Huntsville Elementary School Was Erected in 1961.  Painter, Weeks & McCarty were the Architects and Plateau Construction Company was the Contractor.

The Scott County Board of Education at that time were:

Malvin C. Sexton/ Superintendent

Mike Robbins/ Chairman

L.A. Carson

Johnnie Lee Watson

Seigal Jeffers

Ortel Woodward

We have a lot of fond memories of the old Huntsville Elementary School and to all the students, who are parents now, you made those memories for us and we hope that you will pass them on to your child along with all the knowledge that you gained by being a student at Huntsville Elementary School.

In 1996 Huntsville Elementary School was remodeled and rooms were added for Huntsville Middle School and the two schools were joined together to make one school which is now Huntsville Elementary/Middle School.
