Congratulations to Salena Day, Huntsville Elementary Teacher of the Year

 Huntsville Elementary School Library was recently awarded the Accelerated Reader Model Library Award.  Model Library certification indicates efforts to support teachers in the implementation of Accelerated Reader's Best Practices.  Some of these include managing an adequate book collection for all reading levels, encouraging daily reading practice, monitoring student progress, and creating a system of motivators.  Accelerated Reader was developed more than 25 years ago to help educators accurately and efficiently monitor the quantity and comprehension of their students' reading practice.
